(978 posts)And that's me.
I'm self-employed and don't charge enough or underestimate the complexity of a job and make little profit. I probably make less than minimum wage on many of the projects I do.
When I wise up and increase my rates customers often want to negotiate it down. I'm tempted to give up my self imposed slavery and get a real job.

(12,412 posts)I had spent most of my productive time for years organizing work for my two employees who often make more than me on some projects.
I am finally at a point where I have increased my own rates and profit and I give the credit to my employees for the fine work they perform and the reputation they have given us.
