"Our Border Will Be The Most Militarized Since The Fall Of The Berlin Wall".

So said John McCain today. Without a hint of irony.

So this is now a good thing? No money for Social Services but we have 40 billion to build a wall between us and Mexico. At a time when immigration is at a ZERO SUM.

Ooh look we're gonna be just like Germany during the cold war! Woo Hoo! We're number one!!

80% of illegal immigrants enter legally and overstay their visa. The simple fix is to implement a ****ing exit visa like the rest of the industrialized world has.

Just as far as that goes, getting undocumented immigrants on the books improves all of our entitlement programs' actuarial status pretty dramatically.

MORE than they ever asked for on the "border" issue, John Boehner doesn't think it goes far enough. Yes the Democrats are going to allow a BORDER WALL to be built in order to get Republicans on board to pass an immigration reform bill. Except that now that Republicans have got their $40 billion wall, (they really only wanted 30) that's not good enough for John Boehner who said today "We'll make up our own bill in the house".

Yeah, this is why some liberals have had enough. We take a hard turn to the right, and I mean HARD TURN to the point where we are building a fucking wall between us and Mexico, and that's just not good enough for Republicans...

On top of the 10 foot steel wall they want to build.

But I'm certain they will find some private concessionaire companies to contract for the tourist attraction making sure they get the money like they do with our national parks.

It would be just like us too...

BorderLand! Fun for the whole family! Try out our new rides! Like "It's A Small White World" where children frolic and play while you float by in a small boat shooting any brown children you see! Or "Mr Toads Wild Border Crossing" where you race across the border in a zany car avoiding taser shooting border patrol agents! Or our newest attraction, the "Top O' The Wall" shooting gallery!

This latest move is pure foolishness. Yes, we need to take care of the least of us with that money, not persecute the least of them on the other side of the border.
