The scourge of gay marriage is upon us.....prepare for doom

God judges wicked nations. Homosexuality is one of the highest forms of wickedness.

Soooo....ok. (puts on his priestly robes and grabs an old soap box...hey this is really old, I could probably sell it at an antique store..) :

Waging wars against innocent people, worshiping money and corporations - creating a new golden calf, letting those in ill health suffer so you can make more weapons (Thought god was supposed to protect you?), kids dying from lack of care in the wealthiest country, driving your SUV to church and polluting the earth (Oh wait, God will fix the earth and protect it but not the US??) as much as you can that way and others (dumping waste and complaining about regulations to stop it), bombing the heck out of countries that are no threat to you and yelling about how you want to turn it and all it's people into one giant glass parking lot.....

And yet, it is two people getting the benefits of being legally married that you think is pissing off God?

That short list above could probably go on all day with things that aren't making your version of God happy, but two people getting government benefits and recognition of their commitment to each other is what makes you ashamed of this country and what you think will bring on the hellfire and brimstone?

No. I think it will more likely be the corruption of the church and the false church predicted. The sheep and the goats. The people who built a golden calf to worship and put money over all else. The ministers on TV who rant all through the night about how if you give them money god will bless you and then those same preachers and flock turn around and want to deny helping those most in need.

Over 2000 years ago some hippie like guy walked around preaching love, feeding people, healing the sick - he even saved the servant boy of a centurion (you know, those evil roman dudes who had money and no real issues with gay people):

Yeah....you think god is pissed over gay marriage and will give everything else his blessing and a pass...maybe we didn't read the same book.

1. That was the first thing that occurred to me

My heterosexual marriage is doomed, and it's all because of the gay. Well, that's the excuse I'll use when the D word comes up next time. Why couldn't they just leave well enough alone with their alternative chosen life style? But noooo. They have to attack my proper marriage!

3. the thing I don't get is the logic (I know...!)

If gay marriage will cause man-boy and man-dog marriage, doesn't it follow that heterosexual marriage caused gay marriage in the first place and maybe it ought to banned?

It took me several minutes to try to connect the dots. In context, is that quote saying that gay = animal?

Only Leviticus is. You see, Leviticus contains the only laws that Jesus wrote.
