Rick Perry Calls For Special Session To Address Abortion Bill - for July 1st

"I am calling the Legislature back into session because too much important work remains undone for the people of Texas," Perry said in a statement. "Through their duly elected representatives, the citizens of our state have made crystal clear their priorities for our great state. Texans value life and want to protect women and the unborn. Texans want a transportation system that keeps them moving. Texans want a court system that is fair and just. We will not allow the breakdown of decorum and decency to prevent us from doing what the people of this state hired us to do."

The special session will start Monday, July 1.

They only meet every other year. Hawai'i's Legislature meets every year. Hawai'i would barely be a decent-sized county in Texas.

Hopefully more Texan women will show the governor what "important work" really looks like. Though I've read that the Dems expect it will eventually squeak through and then be challenged in the courts.

both of our initial offerings have a much more satisfying invective quality than the screen door on a submarine example does though...
I was putting an awful lot of contemptuous spin on that "ass" response
Maybe someone will come up with a better one!

Requiring clinics to achieve hospital level surgical standards (which are unnecessary, and would essentially close down the majority of the clinics) is to protect the women!

Perry is the worst creature to rule over Texas since George Warmonger Bush.
