let me clue you in... we now have documentary evidence, along with the testimony of many former NSA and other intel staff, that the NSA has been harvesting, storing, and analyzing ALL digital and phone communications.
and in case you may suspect the authenticity of the documents recently released, the gov, all the way up to the president, have come out and condemned the release of these TOP SECRET documents where the NSA itself states that they are spying on EVERYONE's communications.
now, believe it or not, there are still some individuals who upon learning this news, still refuse to believe what these documents, and other witness report.
however, these folks are deeply invested in denying this whole story, and have a record, going back years, of first denying that the technology to even do this sort of massive spying even existed by claiming it was technically impossible to do (without the slightest credentials on the subject matter), to then switching gears, once it was revealed with TOP SECRET documents, claiming it was "old news", and then switching gears again by saying that it was "legal" anyways, to then insulting the majority of DUers by calling them "racist" to object to such illegality, to just recently claim that democrats are not actually democrats if they object to this unconstitutional behavior by our own government, and then finally, coming full circle, feign ignorance.
The pattern is the same among all these individuals, and is what makes them easy to spot, as most people, who are ignorant to the facts, often change their tune after becoming informed, but not these tricksters... to them this is all part of a highly predictable, an reliable pattern of sophistry.
Fortunately on DU, this small, yet vocal minority, are not able to effectively muddy the waters as we have a highly curious group of voracious readers who are more interested in the truth than spin, with the critical ability to actually respond, unlike on the M$M, and therefore document the errors, falsehoods, and misdirections of their posts, which is consistently reflected in the polls taken on DU, since this story broke, that show an overwhelming majority of DUers support a full investigation of the spying, and a change of course by our government.
If you truly are interested in learning more about what our government is doing in regards to spying on all of us, you have certainly come to the right place, and i enthusiastically encourage you to avail yourself of the many informative posts here on DU to get up to speed on this critical issue of our time.
good night.
