Should "The DUzy Awards" not recommend any threads?

This is in response to a question posed in ATA:

Sometimes when I'm logged in as The DUzy Awards I see something I'd like to recommend. It would be cumbersome to log out, then log back in as Flying Squirrel to recommend the thread. In no case have I ever (nor do I plan to ever) recommend a thread twice (i.e. under both accounts.) It's listed in the profile of The DUzy Awards that Flying Squirrel is currently the one compiling the DUzy Awards. There is no kind of official DU sanction for The DUzy Awards.

At the same time, I am aware of the high profile of this account, and take care when posting the DUzy's to try and avoid controversy or offense.

Please let me know what you think and it will guide my future actions regarding thread recommendation.

to check for PM's for the DUzies.. it's a lot to do at one sitting. But I could probably do as you suggest since the vast majority of DUzy nominations do not come in PM form.

31. I selected "should not", but let me explain:

1) "Should not" because most of us view the DUzy Awards as an institution, not as an individual. Reccing while logged in as DUzy suggests institutional support, not personal support. Not unlike CEO Cathy's condemnation of gay marriage being viewed as representing Chik fil A in general.

2) DUzies are awesome.

3) I really don't care a great deal one way or another.

4) I hate polls.
