(9,644 posts)Militant socially inept goons marching up and down the street with a rifle slung over their shoulders? Interesting. Personally I have never seen anyone doing this (marching into public spaces with rifles). I know people have, and I don't think it's particularly smart thing to do, I don't agree with it, and some states have laws against it. In much the same way, this kind of over the top misrepresentation chips away at whatever credibility is left in the anti gun grab bag.
OK. Maybe that's not entirely fair. Cartoons are SUPPOSED to rest on hyperbole and exaggeration. So hey - it's all good!
Thanks for posting!

(11,996 posts)Months ago. Another clown thought it was great fun to carry an AR into JC Pennys.
YOU try to determine whether he has bad intentions or not before its too late...like the other fuckers who shoot up malls, schools, and theaters.

(9,644 posts)I don't know how people can think that this is an acceptable way to express themselves.
You would think that reasonable laws that ban disruptive public display without encroaching on the 1A could be crafted.

The Straight Story
(48,121 posts)they could have a pressure cooker in there (and the RCMP just 'foiled' a plot involving such...though they were a part of it from the article....)
Anyone carrying anything I cannot see - like a purse or backpack - is someone I am afraid of now. We should just ban both (like they do at some sports venues) to make us all feel more safe.
At least if I see someone carrying a gun I know what they have at the time. It's what I don't see that scares me.

(1,315 posts)..I find it interesting to see how that whole mathematical justification thing works, I carry because I can, as a legally protected action in the state I abide in. The why and how of it are really not your business, as I have posted previously I have, while working, been carrying concealed firearms that had you known I had it would most likely sent you in to a mind bending shutdown of fear and terror.... All while smiling nicely and chatting with the nice people at the book store, coffee shop, or synagogue.
How sad to be more threatened by obvious display, one which is benign to the extreme, while ignorant to the unseen, and truly lethal threat... enjoy your bliss.

(11,996 posts)bad intentions are until it is too late.
Pretty sure numerous shooters were being quite obvious when walking into their massacre situations armed to the teeth.
Oppurtunity, Ability, Intent.
Guaranteed the stupid ass in JC Penny is getting just about ALL my attention, since he is OBVIOUSLY carrying a weapon...he IS a definite & clearly identifiable threat until shown otherwise. Someone who is carrying concealed? Normal scrutiny - where ignorance is preferred by both parties I am sure, at least until he too identifies himself as a possible threat by brandishing, printing etc. Hmm...like the dumb ass cop printing at a high school swim meet - obvious threat, possibly illegal, who has to be confronted.
What's sad is asses who just don't get how they are perceived by others and justifably why they are perceived that way.

(53,038 posts)but to be involved in a shooting is not a remote chance. It doesn't have to be mass shooting to be deadly.

(1,315 posts)Far too much responsibility, I find I don't enjoy being in public if I have to keep my head on a swivel.. good try though.
Okay, not a good try at all, what is that, Brady talking point 26 or 27, I lost my copy of the agenda.
