should we all just incorporate our names? And since I am pretty sure this can't be done, isn't that an Equal Protection issue?

(115,781 posts)1. In most states you can do it; it's pretty easy and cheap.
You can make yourself a corporation as long as you list a corporate purpose when you fill out your paperwork. So you could be LaydeeBug, Inc.

For example, property owned by Laydeebug Inc. could not be seized or searched for no reason. And Laydeebug Inc. could not be prohibited from publishing books that say mean things about politicians.

Mostly it's just a very basic line of defense against an irate client suing me for all of my money, and not a very good one.
