One danger of gay marriage

The DC marriage bureau is absolutely packed with gay couples, so it's taking me a while to file my license. I'll take that any day.

Overheard on the cell phone next to me: "yes mom, after 20 years with him".

Thanks for sharing your happy story! I would love for my own fucked up state to point itself in the direction of marriage equality, but we have a stupidly Republican state legislature and a stupid Republican governor.
