If it took the United States 13 years to elect its first President..

Why in the world do talking heads and blogging heads and foggy heads.. think that any country in the middle east is going to do something in one year.. establish a viable democracy.. It took us 13 years.. to get out stuff together and get Washington elected..

Of course the middle east is going to look pretty sad as it tries to find its way.. hopefully they will not do a France and guillotine everyone..

Changing the way a people governs itself is a pretty messy thing.

My heart goes out to Egypt.. I hope they can work their way through this, and not end up with a military ruling group.. its a tough old road those people have a head of them.. and my guess is things will get worse first.. but in 5, 10, 15 years.. maybe they can begin to have some kind of stability.. I wish them well in their journey

Edit to add.. Washington was not elected until 1789
