Greenwald vs Assange vs Snowden's Dad (priceless)

Wikileaks spokesman Kristinn Hrafnsson rejected suggestions made by Guardian reporter Glenn Greenwald that the statement Wikileaks distributed on behalf of Edward Snowden Monday was not genuine. "I can confirm that, as far as I know, this is from Mr. Snowden," Hrafnsson told TPM.

Hrafnsson said he is not in direct contact with Snowden, but his "colleagues" at Wikileaks are. On MSNBC Tuesday, Greenwald, who wrote the first story based on documents leaked by Snowden, said the statement from Wikileaks was "flavored with some person who isn’t Edward Snowden."

Bruce Fein, an attorney for Snowden's father, has said he received a call from Wikileaks founder Julian Assange on the weekend saying Snowden wanted his father to stop speaking publicly about his situation. Hrafnsson declined to discuss that call. "I don't want to comment on that, it's a private conversation," Hrafnsson said.

And the reportage is horrible. Absolutely horrible. Such that nobody can tell what's what.

I still don't have much more than an inkling about what happened with Morales on his return to Bolivia. It's a muddled mess, full of innuendo and hyperbole. How can anybody know what's fact?

I think Snowden's going down. And the funny thing is I don't know whether that's good or bad. There's just too many gaps in the credible information.

Meanwhile a big chunk of DU is spinning out of control like the Tasmanian Devil.

phonied up an Ecuadoran travel document (or at least talked someone into doing so), phonied up a Snowden letter (or at least talked Snowden into letting him write one and put it out without Snowden seeing the final draft) and personally called Snowden's dad's lawyer to tell him to tell the dad to stay out of it.

it get wackier by the minute.

Is there anyone who thinks this is not the most weaselly sentence construction ever?

So then I'm right about being wrong.

Re-rise of the Naderites- Glenn Greenwald’s third party dreamin’ **UPDATE- on Libertarianism

http://blog.reidreport.com/2011/04/re-rise-of-the-naderites-glenn-greenwalds-third-party-dreamin/

...So many out-of-the-way things had happened lately, that Alice had begun to think that very few things indeed were really impossible...

'Would it be of any use, now,' thought Alice, 'to speak to this mouse? Everything is so out-of-the-way down here, that I should think very likely it can talk: at any rate, there's no harm in trying...'

I'm still neutral on these media representations and give them no more thought than that. I look to the end result.
