Baby sea turtles are helped to the sea so they won't go towards airport lights(pic):

The hatching of more than 100 loggerhead sea turtles July 1 on the Caribbean island of Bonaire prompted volunteers to take action, according to Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire. The baby turtles ambled to the sea with the help of a people-lined path, a viral photo on Imgur shows.

"Cutest. Stampede. Ever," wrote one commenter. Perhaps that's why the image had collected nearly three-quarters of a million views on the photo-sharing site by Wednesday afternoon.

Zahnerphoto, who posted the picture, explained on Reddit that the "nesting site was close to the airport and lighting was a concern."

According to National Geographic, loggerhead turtles have been on the "threatened species list" since 1978, due in part to pollution and development in their nesting areas.

the turtle was just hanging out in the middle of the road next to a swampy area. We picked him up and safely placed him in the grass next to the water. He scurried off pretty quickly, much quicker than he was moving on the road.

I stopped to help it, but I spent some time figuring out how to do it without losing part of my body. They are meaner than hell and can get you if you aren't careful.

My cousin had one latch hand onto his hand while we were swimming in a pond near my Grandmama's house. Talk about pain!
There's an old saying that says they won't let go until it thunders. His brother grabbed a paddle and whacked the shell until the turtle thought there was a thunderstorm. His brother didn't want to hurt him, but he had to make him let go.

I had a big box in my backseat. I took that and a snow shovel to deal with him. I got him in the box after an interesting battle. I let him go near a swamp. I think he was out and about because he was disturbed by loggers.

Many people love to use them for soup.

We went to the Loggerhead Museum in Juno Beach, FL in April and we were there when they released 2 turtles who went through rehab. I couldn't believe how many people were there. It was a Wednesday afternoon and there were at least 200 people there. It did make you see how wonderful humanity is. And it made me cry!!

What a great experience. I remember my dad almost putting my mom through the windshield of our car when I was a kid because he slammed on the brakes when we were driving in the country. I flew onto the backseat floor. Mom said, "What the hell are you doing?!? My dad answered, as he was getting out of the car, "Well, you didn't want me to run over those turtles, did you?" We looked out the window to see dad ushering 12 turtles across the road and into their swamp. My dear dad, RIP, was a sucker for animals.
