Even to the using of dogs on tied up prisoners in Abu Ghraib and who knows where else including the US. Invading other country under false pretense like Hitler invaded Poland. Even to spying on neighbors by other neighbors and your government, like it went on in Eastern Europe and the USSR, from WW II through the 1980s.

The world is starting to turn against us because our government is no longer "By the People and For the People." The world has seen it all before!

Not just because I agree with your post.

It has the added feature of subtlety flipping the bird at the Godwin freaks. Those that believe that only through specialized education can one begin to understand fascism. That nothing can be compared to the National Socialist Party unless everything aligns to a near perfect mirror image.

"nothing can be compared to the National Socialist Party unless everything aligns to a near perfect mirror image."

You get it.

Just because the wolf is wearing a sheep suit that looks like what the flock all, expect, to see. Doesn't mean that new sheep that is so attentive to the detail of his clever disguise, has no canine teeth behind it's ever reassuring grin.

In the early stages, when the Nazi wolf was getting his foot in the door to unlimited power in Germany, the Nazis hadn't killed millions either. As opportunity and necessity presented themselves to the Nazis and the Nazis gained their unchecked power, the murdering started to take place, in order to smash and grab what the Nazis wanted and needed.

What will the next American Bush Gang "DECIDE" they want or need?

And so does the rest of the government, that can be stampeded into becoming pawns of the neocon gang and pawns of anyone else with a campaign check. Even if the checks come from outside of our country.

Who knows what the secret clowns that creep among us could be up to?

The American Posse is so overridden. The Posse Comitatus Act was determined by the Bush Gang to be to quaint and troublesome. Now we can be poked and prodded and even disappeared by people we know nothing about, in our own government. We can't even know who is funding these secret pokers and prodders and disappearers. The droning of the drones proves that The Posse Comitatus Act, has been secretly outlawed without public notice.

I remember a GWB quote about the Constitution; "....it's just a goddamned piece of paper."

George was ahead of his time. That POV is now conventional wisdom amongst Constitutional Scholars EVERYWHERE.

An AWOL as Commander in Chief said that, not an American Patriot. There is nothing Patriotic about George W Bush. Or the Patriot Act.

One that is spying on it's own citizens 24/7 and unaccountable to who knows who and funded by who knows who. Maybe the entire planet is "daft." The German people know a wolf, when it's creeping and sniffing about them. And so does the rest of Europe.

Your personal attack is also noted.

What Frank Church said about the day when the NSA turned its powers on US citizens:

“That capability at any time could be turned around on the American people and no American would have any privacy left, such is the capability to monitor everything: telephone conversations, telegrams, it doesn’t matter. There would be no place to hide. If this government ever became a tyranny, if a dictator ever took charge in this country, the technological capacity that the intelligence community has given the government could enable it to impose total tyranny, and there would be no way to fight back, because the most careful effort to combine together in resistance to the government, no matter how privately it was done, is within the reach of the government to know. Such is the capability of this technology.

I don’t want to see this country ever go across the bridge. I know the capability that is there to make tyranny total in America, and we must see it that this agency and all agencies that possess this technology operate within the law and under proper supervision, so that we never cross over that abyss. That is the abyss from which there is no return.”

What Harry S Truman said about CIA:

I never would have agreed to the formulation of the CIA back in '47, if I had known it would become the American Gestapo.

Gee. Gen. Clapper is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life.
