2003 - worldwide protests against the invasion/occupation of Iraq ... snooze.

2009 - Tea Baggers go to DC on the same day as an MLKJr recognition ... MASSIVE COVERAGE!!! (in fact, it could be argued that the 'baggers themselves are a "liberally-biased media" creation ...)

Glenn Beck is trying to prop himself up as the conservative white man's MLK. He wants to have marches and acts of civil disobedience. He thinks the teabaggers will get even more media sympathy if they have video of them being arrested. He feels the conservative white man has been held down long enough and if he doesn't stop it then Obama will start rounding them up for the camps.

I had a "relative" who was busing down there for it.

She cheerily said she hoped she would be arrested ...

I said "Why would they arrest the people who would love the cops?" - intent was ... why would the "fascists" arrest those who support the fascists?
