Bolivia returns Edward Snowden Extradition Request to the US

Bolivia returns Edward SnowdenExtradition Request to the US

Esteban Zamorano 15 hours ago

When the president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, returned to his country from Russia after the summit of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries, several European countries refused to allow his plane to cross itheir airspace due to pressure from the United States which suspected it was carrying Edward Snowden, former NSA employee who revealed the spying program PRISM.

While this diplomatic disaster occurred, which caused the indignation of all the leaders of Latin America, the USA put salt in the wound by officially handing Bolivia an extradition request last Wednesday "if the citizen Edward Snowden is circulating in Bolivia ".

In this situation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bolivia, David Choquehuanca, reported that the government officially returned the extradition request to the United States because Snowden is not in the country, and affirmed their desire to "clarify and reiterate emphatically that the Mr. Snowden never met with President Morales in Russia and less boarded the plane ".

The U.S. denies again the extradition request of individuals convicted in Ecuador for embezzlement

Quito, July 3 jul (Andes).- The U.S. government denied again Ecuador’s request for the extradition of siblings William and Roberto Isaías, sentenced in Ecuador to eight years in jail for bank embezzlement.

According to an official communication from that country’s Department of State, sent to Ecuador’s National Court of Justice (“CNJ” for its initials in Spanish) and Ministry of Foreign Relations on June 19 and made public this past Tuesday, the South American nation has not provided sufficient evidence to prove that the bankers were involved in embezzlement during the 1998-1999 financial crisis.

The U.S. communication states that “if Ecuador could afterwards provide evidence to sufficiently demonstrate the existence of ‘Probable cause’ for the crime of which the Isaías are being tried, the request could be considered again”.

In the document, the U.S. asks that the extradition request “contains a concise narrative summarizing the facts, as well as the description of the crimes committed by the Isaías brothers and the manner in which said actions violated Ecuadorian laws.

In April of 2012 the National Court of Justice sentenced William and Roberto Isaías to an eight-year term for embezzlement after a judicial proceeding that lasted approximately 13 years, in which 54 judges participated.

The ruling of the Ecuadorian judicial entity stated that the former owners of now-dissapeared Filanbanco did not file a balance sheet in 1998 and maintained “irregular accounting books, which could have been labeled as illegal”, based on an audit conducted by the company Price Waterhouse Coopers.

The Isaías brothers reside in the United States since the year 2000, when Ecuador started proceedings against them for several financial crimes.

It is estimated that the losses caused by Filanbanco’s bankruptcy – both to accountholders and to the State – surpass 600 million dollars.

It would take me weeks to write an OP about all the extradition requests the US has refused to Latin America, for assassins, banker thiefs, terrorists, and US installed dictators that looted their treasuries and fled to the US with every penny they could get their parasitic hands on. As in the case of Goni, a strange beast who spoke Spanish with the biggest gringo accent you can imagine, whose campaign was run by the DLC and who looted BOLIVIA.

So please understand that when President Correa, a Ph.D. Economist from European and US universities, says he really doesn't need our help with a few measly jobs in the flower and broccoli industry, that he really means it. They all do.

Save this video about the famous "Goni" for a rainy day. It's mesmerizing.
