Is the Morales airspace denial thing still a HOAX?

I kind of lost track. Two days ago it was a hoax... there had been no hint of any nation restricting Morales' movements. It was a crazy conspiracy theory that Morales (who is, in fact, not 100% reliable, BTW) invented to get attention.

All the best people said so.

Where are we today? (Friday)

Is it still a hoax... something that never happened in any form, or was there an epic goal-post shift at some point?

Just trying to keep up here.

Hung out to dry, those countries are now fingering the US and CIA.
So, it never was a hoax. The only people claiming so is the Personality Cult. They were thoroughly debunked. Facts determined from media reports are that US officials asked several european countries to deny overflight/refueling after plane took off, assuring them Snowden was aboard. Unable to continue flight, or to refuel to continue flight, plane was forced to circle until fuel became dangerously low. Upon landing, plane was detained on ground for 13 hours, until it was determined Snowden was not aboard. Countries then claim a mis-understanding, and overflight/ refueling permission reinstated.

Perhaps you were confused by a OP that depicted a Moscow road map as "proof" the incident was a hoax. Despite being flagrantly bogus and irrelevant, the Personality Cult embraced it.

Yes that's right....the CIA is actually the one that controls air traffic over Western Europe.

The phrase "moral insanity" comes to mind reading some of the Orwellian slop a dedicated cadre of intellectual degenerates are spreading.

A person who lies knowing that the listener knows it to be a lie is a really sickening sort of thing.

....? As a motive? Proof of a passionate dedication to muddying the waters and shouting down inconvenient truths?

It's almost like the point is, not "we disagree," but rather, "you're not allowed to acknowledge that fact."

Weird.

France has apologised to Bolivia for refusing to allow President Evo Morales' jet into its airspace, blaming "conflicting information".

Bolivia accused France, Italy, Spain and Portugal of blocking the plane.

It said some wrongly believed US fugitive Edward Snowden was on board.

Speaking in Berlin, French President Francois Hollande said he granted permission as soon as he knew it was Mr Morales' plane.

President Morales was flying back to Bolivia from Moscow when the plane was forced to stop in Vienna.

Angry reactions

The French foreign ministry issued a statement on the incident.

Ministry spokesman Philippe Lalliot said: "The foreign minister called his Bolivian counterpart to tell him about France's regrets after the incident caused by the late confirmation of permission for President Morales' plane to fly over territory."
