I'm beginning to think that since we are in the second term and his approval rating is pretty steady, he really doesn't have too much to lose.
Because of that, I'm starting to think that he is now playing golf not just because he enjoys the game, but also because he knows it pisses the right-wing off SO MUCH!
And you know what? I LOVE IT! I love anything that pisses the right-wing off! CARRY ON, MR. PRESIDENT!
Departing the White House today for a round of golf
By the way, for someone who is the President of the United States and a pretty cool guy, he can still dress from time to time like your stereotypical dad!!
Have a great day, DUers!

After being denied flyover Venezuelan airspace, of course!
It must be hot. He usually doesn't wear shorts!

(12,958 posts)They will attack him if he does, and they will attack him if he doesn't. There is no modification of Obama's actions that the GOP will find acceptable.

(2,049 posts)the NSA and surveillance policies and practices, but on this I have to agree with you 100%. The GOP (and the right wing generally) have been completely and thoroughly discredited for all time, thanks to Bush and Cheney. Rather than ackowledge their past sins, they've actually embraced even further the lunacy and dregs of the John Birchers.
I can hardly imagine what Abraham Lincoln would say, were he to witness what has become of his beloved Republican Party. It would not be kind. (I'm reading Doris Kearns Goodwin's Team of Rivals and highly recommend it to all on DU who love history.)

(8,090 posts)THAT'S what you think of Obama?
We're told over and over by the fanbase that he's president to ALL the people, not just pesky libruls. Why would he want to piss off the right-wing, especially when he admits that at one time, he'd be considered a moderate Republican? He represents them and works with them. Why, suddenly, is pissing them off a good idea?
