In a Washington Post Magazine story published this week, Nugent told Steve Hendrix that he was thinking about it.
Nugents wife of 24 years, Shemane, explained that he had talked about running before, but this time he seems more serious. People are constantly asking him to run.
In the 1980s and the mid-2000s, 66-year-old brother brother Jeff Nugent helped him do polling for a possible run for Michigan governor. At one point, New Mexico Republicans also attempted to draft him to run for governor of their state.

And let this creepy piece of shit be the leader of the free world? No thanks. He would get laughed out of the primaries faster than Newt Gingrich and his idea to colonize the moon.

I used to like his music when I was young but I didn't know what an asshole he was back then. I hope he doesn't get any support, but then again, I'm from the state where Jesse Ventura was elected governor, he's another idiot.

Family
Nugent has had two wives and has eight children, including five out of wedlock in two liaisons almost 30 years apart. In the late 1960s, prior to his first marriage, Nugent fathered a boy, Ted (Mann) and a girl, whom he gave up for adoption in infancy. This did not become public knowledge until 2010. The siblings were adopted separately and had no contact with one another. The son learned the identity of his birth father in 2010 through the daughter's quest to make contact with him and their birth parents. According to a news report, Nugent over the years had discussed the existence of these children with his other children.[27]
In 2005 Nugent was involved in a legal battle for not paying enough child support for a child he had out of wedlock in 1995.[28] It was finally resolved when Nugent was ordered to pay $3,500 per month in child support.[29]
He was married to his first wife, Sandra Jezowski, from 1970 to 1979. They had two children, son Theodore Tobias "Toby" Nugent and daughter Sasha Nugent. Sandra died in a car crash in 1982. His second marriage was to Shemane Deziel, whom he met while a guest on Detroit's WLLZ-FM, where she was a member of the news staff. They married on January 21, 1989. Together they have one child, son Rocco Winchester Nugent.
In 1978, Nugent began a relationship with seventeen-year-old Hawaii native Pele Massa. Due to the age difference they could not marry so Nugent joined Massa's parents in signing documents to make himself her legal guardian, an arrangement that Spin magazine ranked in October 2000 as #63 on their list of the "100 Sleaziest Moments in Rock".[30][31]

(39,961 posts)long before I'd trust Ted Nugent, and that's saying something since both are bumfuck nuts.
Jesse is currently suing the widow of a Navy SEAL. Her husband wrote a book that sort of described him in a not so complementary manner. The Navy SEAL died so Ventura switched to suing his estate, which is the widow. By the way, contray to what he says all the time Jesse Ventura was never a Navy SEAL.

(5,842 posts)I guess if Ted counts the voices he hears in his head as "people" then I think he should just go for it.
It's not like the GOP primary process can be any less of a circus than the 2012 version turned out to be.

(5,842 posts)Given the way the primary debates went last year with the yahoos in the GOP audience cheering on capital punishment and booing gay soldiers it stands to reason they'd give that comment a standing ovation. Anything that further shows the general public how low the GOP has sunk just helps the Democratic party even more.

Bravo GOP. America needs a reality show with more international interest. Better for the ratings.

(10,336 posts)I'm just curious. That seems like a lot of different women to be bearing his children, and with him being a rock and roller, I can't imagine each one was planned. If he denied any of them, or had tiffs with the women, chances are pretty good the women may have had a difficult time with $. Enquiring minds want to know...
