GOP Now Resorting To Passing And Signing Anti Abortion Laws In Secret With "Trick" Laws

The GOP assault on women has become a silent assault on women's ability to control their reproductive destiny. These laws go against abortion itself and are a stealth attack on contraception itself. They cannot win the public debate so now they have resorted to hiding like snakes in the rocks. Their 50 state strategy is actually succeeding because the laws on the books now will be hard to stop. And they also are active in taking away women's free speech rights. to protest by using arrest and intimidation to thwart any effort to stop them. What part about being Nazis with "Gestapo" tactics does the public not understand.

Now they have obviously quadrupled down on the effort to end "family planning" in the country.

That in NC, they tacked on their anti-abortion bullshit onto an anti-sharia law bill.

Always thought that the *real* heart and soul of the GOP--the money folks, such as Romney--really didn't give a flying fig about these social issues and only cared about one thing, making sure they didn't have to share their $$ with the undeserving. And that they used abortion to get the church-brainwashed to vote for them, and they would never really "solve" the issue to their liking in order to keep it alive during election season. So what's their real motive for doing this now? Do the $$ types really hate women that much? Once they've "solved" this and made the misogynist crowd happy, then what?

The GOP is now fundamentally a white supremacist religious party that believes in a Bible based government. They are allied with billionaires and economic allies who see great advantage in allying themselves with religionist elements for economic gain. In their view they have the media, the money, and the means to create a nation ruled by a political minority. They believe that they can rule this country very much like South Africa was run. And the scuttling of the Voting Rights Act gives them the ability to game and rig elections to their advantage indefinitely.

We can assume the voter Id and voter suppression laws will even be more draconian in the next election cycles. They believe they can sequester out most opposition voters. And they are determined to shut out minorities before demographics takes over. Most people are not paying attention and do not care from what I can tell.

If you look at the laws being passed now in places like Wisconsin, Michigan and other states that are even blue, they have succeeded in ending democracy in some very important ways. The ability to demonstrate and use your 1st amendment rights has been pretty much ended in places like Wisconsin where you can be arrested for carrying a protest sign on the capitol grounds. Recent arrests in North Carolina where people are legally demonstrating should be a good example. The ability of even state officials to track and intimidate activists is pretty obvious.

What is concerning is that most younger women are totally clueless about these new laws and few are really active. The average young woman I run into seems to have NO idea what is going. And many young women seem to be buying into the GOP and church mantra about having children and family values that are against their long term interests. The GOP is constantly now saying to the younger generation of women to find a man to support you, get married, have kids and stay out of the job market except for part time "pin money". I already see a lot of young women under 25 with 3 kids already.

I have 7 or 8 churches of various denominations within 5 miles of my house and they are all fundamentalist. The GOP is more than willing to do their will. It seems more than coincidental that 5 Supreme Court Judges are Catholic. And it seems more than coincidental that so many hosipitals are being bought by Catholic institutions.

The tables have turned and it's the Fundie authoritarian crowd that's really running the show now, not the old-$$ types. What's terrifying is how, through gerrymandering and obstruction, we are now under minority rule and there dosen't seem to be anything we can do about it. Having a President on our side (most things anyway) means nothing.
2014 is beyond important. We must scream from the rooftops that we must get the States and Congress back. Women's very lives depend on it.

A trifecta:
1 Deny a woman a right to choose her own destiny. Baby is born to unhappy and unprepared parents.

2. School vouchers. This takes away resources from those poorly performing schools who need it the most. Repubs express dissatisfaction with local school, use voucher for private school. Students performing poorly get left behind
3. Poorly performing students who want to go to college are left with the armed forces, which most of them enter for both training and tuition.

P.S. Use same soldiers in an unneeded war in a waste of Force, ill-defined Objective -see Powell Doctrine for Objective and Mass
Also do not bring up draft but make it a volunteer army.

because Jesus want them to, or because they promise to take welfare away from all the dark people. This will continue to happen.
