(2,140 posts)If a thuglicon is,in any fashion forming words, the odds are extremely high they are lying. The likelihood they are are not is so slim that it needn't be seriously considered for longer than a millisecond...

(3,184 posts)Republicans, for all their supposed superior morality and Christian principles, don't seem to be able to do anything but bear false witness.
IMHO lying in public discourse should be illegal.
It is not possible for engineers to design functioning devices without describing the entire problem, clearly it isn't possible for lawmakers either. Far too many lawmakers try to design solutions knowing only their own exceptionally narrow viewpoints.
Both the lawmakers and the public need to know all sides before creating the solution.

Seems like every stand they make is contrary to what is best for the nation as a whole whether is be admitting an action or denying it or lying about it.

(45,358 posts)Because each time these metrics are posted here there are many DU'ers who react exactly like the lying Republicans.
I bet there will even be some in this thread.

(39,961 posts)seems to be that you are highly critical of people on DU, and the attitudes held by the people on DU. Now I'm sure I'll be "one of those people" for pointing this out, but I wonder, if you have such scorn for us, why bother to hang around us?
I'm not showing you the door, or asking you to leave, I'm just wondering why you keep coming to the party, drinking the beer and then complaining what a horrible party it is.
tridim
(45,358 posts)There are many here.
I "hang around" because I'm a progressive Democrat who has been an active DU'er since day one. Any questions?
Aerows
(39,961 posts)Okay. I haven't been here since day one, but I've been on enough sites as a liberal and a progressive that I know which way the wind blows.
I notice you also aren't a star member. Beyond that, though, I'm sure that a person that seeks to divide DU members and constantly complains about them is exactly the sort of person the site seeks to have, especially from non-paying/non-supportive members.

And while the unemployment rate is dropping; the income of those recently employed is also dropping.
