All about the decline of the middle class since the early 1990s.
Bill Moyers follows two Milwaukee families - one white, one black - over the course of two decades, documenting their successes and failures along the way. You really get to know both of these families, and you really get to feel how much things have changed over the years.
It may be anecdotal, but to the extent that two families can be used as a microcosm for what's been happening to most American families over the past two decades, this documentary really delivers. In fact, "Two American Families" hits it out of the park. Please watch it, and encourage others to do the same.

(37,648 posts)Mad at the outsourcing that's gone on. The suffering, lives ruined. Hard working people who lose their jobs.
It could happen to any of us.

They would rather spy on us while we suffer than make our lives better by spending the money allocated toward spying to creating good paying jobs.

(9,841 posts)It's as heart-wrenching and stomach-turning as any Dickens novel, except it's worse because we're actually living it.
