Stupid ass co-worker just yelled down the hall

"WE SHOULD HAVE A VERDICT IN THE TRAYVON TRIAL THIS WEEK" and then snickered.

I yelled back "TRAYVON WAS ALREADY SENTENCED TO DEATH. NOT SURE WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. GET TO WORK" and a couple of nervous laughs floated down the hall.

silence, you could almost hear the gears grinding in his head. Then:

"YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT"

I yelled back "WHAT YOU JUST SAID REVEALS A LOT ABOUT YOU. NOW LET'S GET TO WORK BEFORE WE ALL GET FIRED"

silence.

This dude is going to be ecstatic if Zimmerman walks. It'll be like he got a free ice cream cone or something. Jackass.

We deal with it at work, on the street, in a business. Anywhere a right-wing mouthbreather can find entrance you will eventually have to eat a stupid sandwich, often garnished with religion and/or slathered in racism. I'm almost numb to it. Thank you though.

She told me neighbors cheered his death. It made her nauseous. Made her cry.

That was a long time ago though. Back when she was a democrat and recognized that such behavior was shameful and repulsive.

Today she is a gun nutty, doomsday prepper, birther who would probably cheer Zimmerman walking.

Stay strong there in TN. It must be tough!

I LOVE Tennessee. I've not run into anyone that has called it the Trayvon murder trial, or that I think will cheer if Zimmy goes free, or anything of that nature. Maybe you are hanging out at the wrong places?

I'm not saying the State is perfect by any means. Yes, outside the major cities, it is red. But, politics is only one part of life and I don't seem to run into much "politicking" or bad mouthing murder victims; even the gun owners.

how the narratives would shake out if the roles were reversed and TM was the busybody instigator.

I honestly think most DUers would be consistent, and say that Trayvon had no right to get out of his car and pursue Zimmerman. But I think the freepers et al would still be defending GZ, saying he had a right to enjoy his skittles and iced tea.

If the race roles were reversed, it would be interesting to see how people interpret the allegations.

Zimmerman lies like a 10 year old child afraid of being spanked.

I wonder how a polygraph would test his account of what Travon supposedly said and did. It is all fabricated from his imagination. It should show which side of the brain those tales light up.

protecting themselves from a deranged attacker.

A deranged attacker that is carrying skittles and Ice tea, while talking to a girl on the phone, but deranged none the less.

If Zimmerman is found to be the "cop-wanna-be" that he probably is, its just as possible that some of them are as well.

But that can't be true ... so the Martin kid must have been deranged.

They are sick. Ignore them.

But please note that calling this the Trayvon Martin trial is like calling the O.J. trial the Nicole Brown Simpson trial.

I had to look her name upon Wikipedia to remember it.

Never heard of the OJ trial called the Nicole Brown Simpson trial. Never.

But, look, folks. The decision is up to the jury.

You cannot imagine the people who think that O.J. should have been convicted.

But that is just not how it works.

You have to accept the jury's decision whether you like it or not.

Next time you get that card, that summons to do jury duty ----- GO!.

Your willingness to serve may decide someone's life. So, GO when it is your turn.
