It looks like there is a conflict going on between Zimmerman and his attorneys.

(12,287 posts)I think egotist zimmerman wants to testify and west doesn't want him to. that's likely why west gets angry every time the judge tells zimmy he has the right to testify.

(2,805 posts)Whether Zimmerman testifies or not will be a matter of strategy. Strategy determined by his lawyers unless he overrules them. I would think it is usually a last minute decision--if their last scheduled witness does a terrible damage to their case and they don't want to end it there then they would make the unusual decision to have him testify. Very rarely would the pros outweigh the obvious cons.
I have to agree with West that Zimmerman should be advised that an answer to that question is not necessary at this time and he has the right to consult with his attorneys before making a final decision. At least advise him that his immediate answer is not binding and he can decline to testify later. I think she was grandstanding here. She may want an answer for the convenience of scheduling but West is correct, the case isn't over and the Defense has a perfect right to strategize as they see fit.
BTW: is strategize a word? FF spellcheck says no.

(36,286 posts)the last year, that he was so constipated he had back pain, and that after a year of training 3 hours 3x a week, he was only a 0.5 on a scale of 0-10 as far as his skills. Maybe that's enough to goad him into testifying. I really hope so!
