Remember this movie?

I’m not starting a thread stating that there is the slightest bit of evidence that this movie has any realistic connection to reality..

However, I think those who run our Military Industrial Complex (90% hard core right wing republicans)
definitely saw Obama as a real threat when he entered office.

Much of whet people complain about Obama on this site has merit. However, I have 2 thoughts.

If Obama decided to take on the MIP at any point in his first term and was followed by a terrorist attack on our soil, his presidency would have toast and in fact Tea Bagger elements of the Rep. Party would probably control our govt. for probably 3 election cycles..

I never believed that the NSA should be layed at Obamas feet. I simply do not know what his reality is.
Those that defend the policy really get my goat.

I'm not sure where you're coming from with the hypothetical outcome of a hypothetical attack. By that reasoning no Preseident should ever take on the MIP for fear of Republican backlash.

An attack against our country after Obama dismantled parts of the MIC would reek havoc on the Dem Party for several election cycles. Its not the Republican’s themselves, its their effective fear mongering among many other things. Look what the hell they did with Benghazi. Failed. but still they tried to stir up a hornets nest. An attack would be Obama’s fault entirely and they would effectively spread the lies..
