In 2010, Thom Hartmann did a funny segment about someone at a Tea Party protest handing out a "No Public Services" pledge that included such ridiculous items such as avoiding public office, Social Security, the military, public roads, etc.

And then I noticed this actual comment (see #14)...thus putting to rest ANY doubt that right wingers actually believe the kind of stuff that Thom riffed on above...

It's always a good idea to avoid any public transportation, parks, schools, libraries, etc. You can be assured of encountering only the "finest" elements of society.

The person who posted this is a longtime FR poster, not a deep cover DU prankster, who proclaims to be a "Pro 2A serf living in the democRATic socialist sheeples republik of MD." I've exonerated the DU community right here, heh heh.

And after reading that...wow. This comment is the right wing "I've got mine" ideological mindset on STEROIDS!

Public transit? I've got my OWN car.
Parks? I've got my OWN backyard or ranch land to chill at.
Schools? No no no I ain't sendin' MY kids to be learnin' about no CONDOMS or SOCIALISM or EVOLUTION or MULTICULTURALISM...gasp...SEPARATION OF CHURCH N' STATE by some commie union thug teacher! I'll just homeschool 'em or send 'em to the local Biblical Reference Here Academy!
Libraries? They REDISTRIBUTE the books, so libraries are SOCIALIST! I'd rather buy books (or download 'em illegally, hee hee).

(Speaking of libraries, my local library never fails to display a right wing book by Ann Coulter, Mark Levin, or some other hack prominently in the "new nonfiction" section.)
