Why should I vote?

Because our country needs you. You have a chance to be a patriot. Don't blow it.

We must save our country from those that have taken over our government and have created secret laws and secret courts with secret verdicts. They are operating as a secret government behind the backs of the people.

They have militarized our local police forces who think their job is to protect the powerful, not the people. They have no qualms about spraying the most powerful pepperspray into the faces of our children. They have no second thoughts about using their tasers on the elderly or handicapped. It happens way too often.

The Constitution means little to them. It is just a piece of paper. They do not respect our Bill of Rights anymore. They have pulled the strings of Congress to fix the laws the way they want. They serve the 1%. The 99% be damned.

So, why should you vote? Because your country is going down the shit hole. If you care anything about your parents, your children, your friends, or your neighbors, you will do your part to change the direction we are going.

1. One reason why I vote

among the many obvious ones, is that my taxes pay for the elections, local, state, federal, etc and frankly I want to get my money's worth.

So even if it is a very, very local election on a bond issue or a sewer tax, I go to vote.
