Sprint and SoftBank Announce Completion of Merger
Through this transaction, approximately 72 percent of current Sprint shares are being acquired by SoftBank for $7.65 per share in cash, and the remaining shares are being converted into shares of a new publicly traded entity named Sprint Corporation.

(I invite you to imagine the consequences if people in other countries took that attitude to American corporations that do quite a lot of their business outside the USA, like: Boeing, Ford, GM, Coca-Cola, McDonalds, et cetera.)
