Are There Other People On Neighborhood Watch In Zimmerman's/Martin's Community?......

Was Zimmerman the only Neighborhood Watch person in Sanford? Are there others on the so-called Neighborhood Watch team there?
How are they selected and by whom? Are they trained in any fashion or given instructions as to how to conduct themselves while on watch? How is this Neighborhood Watch program communicated throughout the community? Are the people on Neighborhood Watch in any way identified by pictures to the people of the community - say in a newspaper article?

If there are others on this Neighborhood Watch team - were they interviewed? Do/did they share the same feelings of danger as Zimmerman?

I don't know if any of this was ever explored and if it was I missed it. Seems to me this would be information that might be pertinent to this case.

Also - how much time between the shooting and killing of Martin did Zimmerman have before he had to provide his account of the events of the night? Did he talk to or was he able to talk to anyone before he had to give his account of the events of the night?
Just curious if he had enough time to think through an alibi or a story of what happened that night?

watchful of your neighbors homes, learn what vehicle belonged in the driveway, meeting the neighbors so as to become familiar with the family members but never was we instructed to take our weapons and go to the streets. We was instructed to call the police, provide details of our observations, our names, addresses and phone numbers, I never have chased anyone down thinking I was supposed to arrest them or detain them. I seriously doubt Zimmerman was instructed to take his gun to the street either. Also as a security officer I do not attempt to detain suspects there, we have a professional police department and they have the capability to investigate and make arrest if necessary.

I'm sure that a real Neighborhood Watch doesn't encourage the cop wannabes to grab a gun and follow residents against 911 direction.

The HOA is going to owe some big bucks over this once the lawsuit hits them. And Martin's father will be immune from any special assessment required to pay it off.

I am an officer in my HOA and we would NEVER have allowed any member of the HOA to do this sort of thing, nor will we ever sponsor a neighborhood watch due to insurance coverage concerns. The potential for liability is too large when our purpose is to maintain common property, not police the neighborhood.

In excess of a million bucks.

That's gonna hurt at assessment time.

And even though Zimmerman was not a part of this suit, IIRC he still owns the property and will still be liable for his portion of the million bucks owed. If eh sold whoever bought was a fool.

If an insurance company had to cover it, they were foolish in the wording of the policy. I know there is no way in hell our insurance policy would assume such a liability in our current coverage, and we have a $1,000,000 maximum coverage policy, too.

That the HOA had received numerous complaints about Zimmerman -- following and questioning people, mostly black, as if he were a police officer -- and didn't do anything to rein him in.
