Chris Hayes on the ReTHUG removal of Food stamps from the Farm Bill

Seriously this is the biggest story right now

It won't pass in the Senate but this is disgraceful
At least Dems went on the record condemning this madness -increased subsidies for the rich- more cuts for the poor.
Every Democratic Congressperson voted against it.

It is disgraceful. A shocking dismissal of the poor and disabled as not worthy of access to food.

Do people really know what is going on? You'd never know Democrats won the elections last November - won the Executive Branch and increased numbers in the Senate and House.

Add this to the attacks on women in state legislatures and it's time to scream.

I don't think people attend to the news much anymore. Even if these things are reported, it just doesn't filter down until someone loses a lifeline like SNAP. This next election is exponentially more important than 2016. I'd rather see people coming together around the immediate problems presented by this type of legislative fiasco than fighting over Snowden. I also don't see the organization or will to organize anything beyond a bit of theater.

... Will the republicans pay a price with the low-income whites that represent a majority of their voting block?

...pissing off Hispanics by trying to kill Immigration reform, women by going after health and now food matters, blacks with their voter suppression efforts and mostly everyone else who isn't old, male and white. It's up to the Democrats now to make these shitstains pay for their disdain for a large portion of the American electorate....or else we could face even greater problems...

That was an important vote today - good to see Democratic unity on something
