4. I don't personally see anything wrong with being "socially awkward"

I am myself probably a "strange, weird guy" (I'm autistic, diagnosed with Asperger syndrome as an adult) I also wouldn't seek out and would in fact probably run like hell in the other direction from a career in politics or anything else that placed a high emphasis on social ability, but at the same time I don't really see not being naturally gregarious and not having any small talk as things that should bar anyone from serious consideration for the presidency or any other leadership position.

Romney is only awkward when he is trying to ingratiate himself with those not in his class. What I see is a person patronizing his audience.
