Apparently there's some right-wing nutjob named Rush Limpball who has a radio show, and he said people who advocate for birth control (and apparently Democrats in general) are "... people who do nothing but have sex mindlessly day in and day out..." .

cause, you know, sex should only be for making babies because humans are animals whose sex drive evolved for that purpose - to reproduce.

Come to think of it - it's like the right wingers are making a selfish gene argument - the one that posits there is no god and evolution explains even their religious beliefs - reproduction is the only goal.

however, we can demonstrate that reproduction is not the only goal for human sex because, if it were, women would only have sex when in estrus and would look like this:



Instead, humans evolved in such a way that they have sex for fun and not just for reproduction. (which is also why human females don't look like other great apes during ovulation.)
