First time I had to move hotels because of the cockroaches. The lizards in the second were a much better choice, frankly. Some of the conversations during that trip left me open mouthed.

The second time, I was a bit hardened to the ridiculous conversations. We drove down the coast, through Georgia, however. I was the recipient of a faith healing in a Georgia washroom; it made her feel better.

The people are scenery is lovely, the shops are interesting, the people are friendly.....but they are damned odd, and I hope the attitudes aren't contagious.

It started with Elian Gonzales and how the Cuban-Americans literally wanted to go to war with Cuba so that a step-great-great-uncle and his family of Cuba-hating misfits could get custody of Elian over his biological father in Cuba.

Then there was the debacle of the 2000 Presidential Election - need I say more?

Then they elected some freaky-looking con-artist as Governor, a con-artist that immediately signed off on mandatory drug-testing for welfare recipients, tests that are sold by a company in which he owns major stock.

Then, this same weird-looking Governor (I don't think that bastard is even human) makes voting districts that are predominantly populated by black and brown people wait all day to vote in a Presidential Election......

So, in summary, if I had 50 children, and two of them were misfit, klutzy phuck-ups, the misfit klutzy phuck-ups would be Flori-duh and Texas. I would wrap these two bastards in a blanket and drop these two phuck-ups off at the nearest fire station........and I wouldn't look back or feel guilty! Phuck you! Phuck you, Flori-duh!
