Obama's day: Honoring George H.W. Bush

President Obama spends part of Monday paying tribute one of his Republican predecessors.

The president and first lady Michelle Obama welcome ex-President George H.W. Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush to a White House ceremony to recognize the Points of Light volunteer program.

The first President Bush established the program in 1989.

While honoring Bush, President Obama also plans to announce creation of a new federal task force "to identify additional ways that the public and private sectors can partner together to support national service as a strategy for tackling national priorities."

Monday's ceremony at the White House includes recipients of the 5,000th Daily Point of Light Award: Floyd Hammer and Kathy Hamilton, a retired couple and farm owners from Union, Iowa, whose nonprofit organization delivers free meals to children suffering from hunger in more than 15 countries, including the United States.

The Obamas also have lunch with the Bushes, and members of the Bush family.

Our President is a classy dude and this is what classy people do.
Nothing O can do to change things and if he was to be ugly to them it wouldn't do him or us any good so why do it. Those of us who pay attention know what kind of a president/person GHW little boots senior and babs was/is.
GObama is all I can think of.

Poppy Bush = 1 term President that is continually honored by media and subsequent presidents

Jimmy Carter = 1 term President that is mocked and ignored by media and subsequent presidents

Having lunch with Barbara Bush?

Clinton lied. A man might forget where he parks or where he lives, but he never forgets oral sex, no matter how bad it is.”

“War is not nice.”

But why should we hear about body bags and deaths, and how many, what day it's gonna happen, and how many this or that or what do you suppose? Or, I mean, it's not relevant. So, why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that, and watch him (her husband, former president George H. W. Bush) suffer?

Well worth celebrating.

But obviously we should all hate the Bush's every day of the year or else we are uninformed idiots or DLC Sellouts.
