Ok this may be sort of a dumb question

But I have to ask-Didn't anyone think to ask if Trayvon Martin was trying to "Stand his ground"? He tried to actually fight back against an attacker, isn't that "standing your ground"? Oh wait, he was an unarmed black kid, not some crazy fucked up vigilante cop wannabe or whatever that guy is(I am not going to use the attackers name if I can avoid it.) Fuck you NRA.

...who is alive at the time to tell the story.

Zimmerman never invoked SYG as a defense, Zimmermans defense was simple self defense and since TM was dead people had to believe Zimmermans story.

The jury was instructed to IGNORE everything BEFORE the time Zimmerman thought his life was in danger and only consider whether they though his life was in imminent danger at the time he pulled the trigger.

What's REALLY scary to me is the jury had to deliberate on what the defense proffered as "imminent danger" which was superficial wounds on Zimmmermans head and Zimmermans claim that TM was going for his gun.

ANYONE can make up ANYTHING to be afraid of and proffer that as an imminent danger portion of "reasonable fear" in the self defense claim.

I'm disgusted
