All Pregnancies To Be Reported To And Followed By the Police Under Personhood Laws

Personhood will deliver a pandora's box of horrors for women. Such and amendment would virtually make legally possible to force women to report their pregnancies to police authority so it can be monitored for the safety of the child. Women could be given instructions about acceptable activity.

Gosh the GOP could even have the churches built pregnancy centers where a woman has to stay until term.

As absurd as what I stated sounds all you have to do is look at the hundreds of ant woman laws that are waiting in the wings.
Ohio making it illegal to install an IUD. Forced ultra sounds. Forced waiting periods. Weakening domestic abuse laws. ,Look all around the country. Every day is a new insult to women.

Even though I am a man and former Catholic I believe that a woman has a right to control ALL her health needs. I spent 16 1/2 years listening to all that theocratic garbage. I was taught then that I could not do certain things as a practicing Catholic. I was also told that I could not force those beliefs on non believers.

Standing up must be done as a group. It cannot be done alone. Women and OWS should unite on this matter because this attack is linked to the economic interests that want to control everything.

If you are willing to demonize the unemployed and welfare clients and force them to take drug tests that they must pay for themselves, then you are willing to do anything else. Remember women who were pushing for the womens' right to vote were in jail, abused and force fed when they went on hunger strikes. They were essentially tortured.

In the end the right to vote was passed by only ONE vote that was an eleventh hour change.

The religious right and GOP rapists will stop at nothing. And it is more than a con. It is for real if you just look at some recent laws that were already pass. Like Texas. They are a bunch of religious and cultural terrorists.

Waiting until August to protest will be too late. The war is happening now and the battle is now. There are hundreds of laws in the works.

I spent a year in Vietnam supposedly fighting for freedom. There is no way I would serve or protect a government run by Republicans. They are public enemy number one. And the fundies are just as bad.

has no right to imposed their religious beliefs on all women. Their right ends when they step off the church grounds.

The Public Schools created a generation of God hating, Athiest, Feminist, "Dumboratt", LIBERALS. When I hear that being said, I want to roll on the floor laughing. They are BLIND and cannot see the forest for the trees. People, I had more GOD and PRAYING in 12 years of Catholic school that you could EVER put in a Public School. Actually, it more often than not, has the OPPOSITE effort of you want to do.

To the OP, I hear ya.

Right now, the 'official' spontaneous miscarriage rate is 25%. One quarter of all pregnancies don't go to term because something goes wrong. Well, if that fetus was a person, then it's time to investigate every single one of those deaths. We're going to need a lot more cops who will have to look really hard into a lot more women's lives.

Did she drink a beer before she knew she was pregnant? Well, that's reckless endangerment at least. Did she take all of her prenatal vitamins? Was her diet sufficiently good? Oooh, this one visited a sick friend and then caught the flu. Clearly she should have stayed at home.

Now that sounds awful. But it's not the worst part yet.

We don't know what the actual spontaneous miscarriage rate is. An unknown number of women get pregnant and then miscarry without missing a period. Well, we have to make sure that there weren't any persons being illegally expelled during her period. So, every feminine hygiene product will need to be tested by the government to ensure it's person-free.

But perhaps an onslaught of "pretend" used ones might be in order.

"You want to examine my feminine parts? Here's a head start..." followed by millions of pads and tampons mailed to every legislator who is overly concerned with the contents of women's bodies.

Just a thought.....I'd love to see the looks on their faces.

Until Americans start leaving their churches in droves (even the "liberal" ones) and shunning those of religious faith, we can expect more of this.
