Saw this on a conservative facebook page

They had a graphic that said: "You can lead a human to knowledge but you can't make him think".


Followed by a bunch of comments talking about how profound and brilliant it was and ripping on Democrats and Obama. I left the following comment:

"Um, that was the original meaning of the proverb but it was left abstract on purpose to make it clever. It's not a proverb and it's not clever anymore if you spell it out."


So many conservatives think they are so informed and such deep thinkers and yet they make fools of themselves trying to sound smart. Oh, the irony!
