We know, kids. We know.
He does the same thing to us.

(2,424 posts)You won't find much love for Ron Paul here.
The Chinese put petrolium byproducts in their baby milk because the government institutions are not structurally sound enough to stop it. They put lead in children's toys for the same reason. They kill coal miners weekly from poor government oversight.
The Ron Paul model is the Chinese model.
Good luck with unlimited personal freedoms all of you Ron Paul fans. Just remember that corporations (legally defined as "people" get those unlimited "personal" freedoms as well.
Hope you enjoy that uninspected meat for dinner.

(13 posts)Ron Paul wants to cut the Department of Education. Do you really think THAT is very functional. I could tell you tales of garbage I had to go through with it.

(13 posts)I'm curious now. I consider myself for the most part either a centralist with varied left and right leanings instead of going, on an average level at least, for a political dichotomy of camping too much off into individual sides of a political spectrum. I think most out there have their good and bad.
This being said, can I ask the question... Is it simply because he's a Republican that you don't like him?

His racist white supremacist past which he barely tries to hide?
His hypocritical anti-war stance? (He supports contractor lead incursions into other countries, just not overt military ones.)
His belief that the greatest problem in the US was the Civil Rights Act?
His nutty financial ideas and goldbug leanings?
I can find principled Republicans to admire (though it is a massive stretch these days), but Ron Paul is special type of ass. While you nitwits taken in by his cult of personality think the left is scared of him, you couldn't be farther from the truth. Paul is quite inept at legislation. His goal is fundraising from rubes like you.
So, so long PPR and in closing, let me add: "Fuck Ron Paul and all of his sophomoric supporters."

(96,793 posts)As soon as they start learning more and thinking, they see Paul's hypocrisy and his failure to be an effective representative. Of course that's after they've emptied their bank accounts donating to him because the only thing Ron Paul is good at is raising money.

When educated, the People can do anything.
Too bad Ron Paul doesn't know that.

(13 posts)The problem is that education in this country is not done right and that's part of the problem. There needs to be an alternative that isn't within government control and truancy should be abolished in favor of more voluntary system of education that actually teaches more things that you could actually use. The divy up too many subjects, many of which aren't useful in the real world, between a short time span in the day. Just when you start to understand one subject, in what is often less than an hour in many public schools, they have you go to another. You often don't learn enough because not enough time is given to each.

(16,168 posts)the charter schools are scamming the taxpayers out of funds to provide educations to pupils they are allowed to
hand pick and are not required to teach to or test the FCAT on those same pupils but allow a public school to
get a low grade on it and the entire school becomes a failure.
The charter schools are also doing that time honored tradition of using taxpayer funded school buildings to teach
those handpicked students while collecting rent from the patsies that pay for their kids to attend said charter schools.
They are also charging the highest rents available for use of schools that are owned by seperate subsidaries of said
charter schools.
Yeah, the schools here are being done right, right wing screw everyone else, right.

(32,084 posts)We need him to constantly remind us why we ALL need to get out and vote against him and everyone else in his party in November. And, we need him remind us why we must work our asses off to convince everyone else we can to do the same.
Ditto for Ron Paul, Rick Scamtorum, and Newtie.
