Just now on CNN.
And she said all the jurors agreed on that.
Oh, and she hopes George can have a peaceful life now.

He was talking on the phone.
He was heading back to the house he was staying at.
He didn't break into any houses.
He didn't steal anything.
He was stalked and accosted by some stranger.
So what the FUCK did he do wrong?

(17,199 posts)The answer is so obvious.
He was BLACK!
(That's still a crime in this country, as this case evinces.)

(735 posts)obviously she feels Trayvon didn't know his place. After all if your a black teenager you are supposed to submit to some stranger confronting you at night , in the dark.
I am never surprised by bigoted people, but am always appalled that people actually think this way!!!

(667 posts)I mean, this juror, in her own words, arrived at a verdict ignoring the
Judges instructions. And, perhaps, got the other jurors and to see it
her way.
Right?

People like this juror and Zimmerman are narcissistic and dumber then a sack of rocks because they shoot their mouths off with out any clue as to how people will react to what they are saying. She has cast a really dark cloud over the jurors of this case and their deliberations. The other jurors have got to be really ticked off at her by now.
If her name is ever revealed she will become a pariah to a lot of people. She won't care though because she will never get it.

(17,199 posts)We need to hear this.
It reminds us just how virulent and pervasive racism still is in this country.
All this talk of "living in a post-racial America" is bullsh*t.
We have the Supreme Court gutting the Voting Rights Act. Racial profiling by civilians now.
The struggle truly does continue.

While they all came to the same verdict, they may not have all gotten there in the way she describes.
I am wary of making accusations about the five other people when we have only heard from one. I don't trust this one at all; mainly because she sure seems more than happy to be "doing the circuit" right out of the gate.
I can't even imagine how the friends and family of Trayvon feel if they are hearing this woman. She needs to go back to her life as she said she would. It's all just so damn sad.

(33,956 posts)the other 3 thought there was a degree of guilt.
Makes me wonder if her "revelations" might force one of them to come out of hiding to set the record straight?
Like perhaps they were bullied into a not guilty verdict by someone else's reinterpretation of the judges instructions...someone whose husband is an attorney... (oh someone like...juror B37?)
chowder66
(9,084 posts)Maybe not the bullying part so much; If someone acts like they really know the law and throw around that their husband is a lawyer to bolster their statement then no bullying would be necessary
but you never know.

It's clear to me these were racist women on that jury.Who are of mindset blacks walking aroind are dangeras.
Trayvon martin was the victim here. Not george Zimmerman.
Blaming victim for his death? That's BS.
Calling Zimmerman george also tells me all I need to know on mindset of this jury.

(1,135 posts)that she and maybe the other two, bullied the three that believed gz was guilty into the ng verdict. She may have said that if you want to continue to live in the Sanford area peacefully, you better not find him guilty.
I am thinking of the woman who recently moved there from Chicago. I bet she's sorry that she picked that area to live......

(20,006 posts)the easier for one or two members to dominate and bully everyone else into submission.
I was also concerned that there were some management type jurors but not much in the way of working class jurors. Thus the cards were seemingly stacked somewhat in favor of the authoritarian figure, Zimmerman.

(3,238 posts)really just be quiet now and just go and write her book, because the more she speaks, the more she shows her lack of common sense and rudimentary thinking abilities. Her 15 minutes of shame should have ended after speaking to Anderson Cooper. She's out there as Juror B37 making a name for herself in order to sell her crappy book, which coincidentally, will probably be called Juror B37 and The Zimmerman Trial. What an opportunist dirt bag.

(11,065 posts)It's clear she paid no attention to the trial at all. She claimed that friend of Zimmerman's that was the Vietnam Vet and talked about combat screaming was the ME. Huh??? She ignored an admonition by the judge during trial to disregard Serino's saying that he believed Zimmerman was telling the truth and said that his saying that was a BIG reason she voted not guilty. She claimed the dispatcher egged him on to get out of the car and follow Martin when the dispatcher was the one that told him not to. She said although she believed that Zimmerman fabricated and embellished a lot of his story she found him to be truthful. HUH? Does she not know that to fabricate means to LIE??? She parroted lines from the defense counsel almost word for word. Despite the attorneys meticulously going over the time line to show that two minutes between the end of the dispatch phone call with Zimmerman and the end of the phone call Rachel had with Martin where no one but Martin and Zimmerman knew what happened she didn't believe Rachel's testimony because she couldn't understand why Rachel's and Martin's phone call was not recorded by the dispatcher. What. The. Fuck???? She ignored every bit of physical evidence. She claimed that none of the dozens of prosecution witnesses were believable yet also says that the eye and ear witnesses were truthful about what little they saw or heard (somehow she wants it both ways - either they were truthful to her or they weren't). Right out of Freeperland she claimed that it was late at night and pouring rain despite NEITHER the prosecution nor the defense saying this. Over and over again it was said that it was drizzling rain and that the whole encounter took place between 7:09pm and 7:16pm. In no one's universe is that late at night... but everyone in intertube land believed it was late at night thanks to the dipshitted liars in Freeperland.
Out of all this I'm curious about her ignoring the judge's admonition to the jurors to disregard Serino's saying that he believed Zimmerman to be truthful and said that she relied heavily on that statement. Is this not juror misconduct? How can ignoring a judge's admonition to disregard certain testimony and using that testimony heavily in deciding guilty or not guilty NOT be considered juror misconduct?

(13,598 posts)*If* Zimmerman's story was wholly or mostly accurate, and Martin confronted and attacked him, then yes, Martin was responsible for his own death, but I very much doubt if we'll ever have enough evidence to be sure whether or not that's true.
