Geezsuzz! I remember when I paid about $100 a piece for tickets to see Penn & Teller about 11 years ago in Vegas. We were in the third or fourth row on the side.

Penn kept asking for volunteers and I kept putting my hand up going making noises. After the second time he did that (and didn't choose me) he pointed at me and said, "I would have picked that guy but he scares me".

The state ran a bunch of commercials back in the 80s as I recall that were anti-litter, the same sort of thing as those old "Pitch in" commercials. At least that's the origin of the phrase. Unfortunately dumbasses around here ran with it as some sort of macho posturing thing.
