Even Barbara Walters is mystified by the GOP candidate who wants to outlaw oral sex in Virginia

On Monday, hosts of ABC’s The View blasted Republican Virginia gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli over his campaign to reinstate a “Crimes Against Nature” law that would outlaw oral and anal sex even between consenting straight couples.

“What ever happened to the slogan, ‘Virginia is for lovers’?” co-host Barbara Walters wondered.

“Only man-on-top lovers, that’s it,” co-host Joy Behar pointed out.

“What he does is he automatically equates oral sex with homosexuality, okay,” Walters observed.

“Well, then I’m as gay as a gay two dollar bill,” co-host Sherri Shepherd quipped. “I’m just sayin’.”

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg demanded that Cuccinelli prove that he had not personally “indulged” in his so-called crimes against nature.

Listening to it is even better than reading it. I think Shepard made herself blush after the "gay as a two dollar bill" comment which was cute.

The key point of the conversation is when Walters says:

“What he does is he automatically equates oral sex with homosexuality, okay”

She has a very good point. The law would in fact discriminate against everyone.

It's too bad Beher and Walters are leaving because the four of them together are extremely funny.

Another point I wanted to make is that The View does often talk about these issues. Someone the other day tried to tell me they don't and I pointed out that is blatantly false. I believe the conversation was in the context of Jenny McCarthy joining the show with her anti-vaccination agenda and the fact that the shows demographics are largely women.

...it says a great deal about him (and it's usually a 'him').

That said, Mr Cuccinelli..
