Thanks to the record-breaking inaction and gridlock in Washington, the entire country is following in the path of Detroit.
Over the weekend, CBS Bob Schieffer asked Speaker of the House John Boehner very bluntly about the current gridlock in Congress, its failure to pass any important legislation and its record-low approval ratings among the American people.
Boehner responded by saying that, We should not be judged by how many new laws we create, we ought to be judged on how many laws we repeal.
In other words, Laws are bad and government is bad, so who needs either.

I hope his pickled liver repeals his life expectancy very shortly.

(51,076 posts)John Boehner would be the person. Well he and Mitch (the turtle) McConnell but Mitch is another story for another day.
I was a person who got up in the morning and went for my bottle of snaps for a drink so I think I can honestly say what I'm fixing to type. John Boehner is a drunk, a drunk who starts drinking from the time he wakes up until he passes out. No sleep as sleep is, because he is drunk off his ass by the time he passes out.
Luckily I no longer drink, been sober for several years now and I love it.
I can't understand how I could or would allow myself to get that way to begin with, it was a slow progression that crept up on me, best I can figure.
John Boehner is like madokie was at one time, a fucking drunk.
only difference is I wasn't in a position of power where I could affect other peoples lives.
Disclaimer: Not all people who drink are drunks although all drunks are drinkers

(37,726 posts)Nothing wrong with that, IF you don't do things that hurt other people.
John Boehner seems to get his kicks, kicking the least able to defend themselves around.
Like the punk ass kids on the corner, that like to gang up on someone who walks by and attack them like wolves going after a stray animal. The same type of adolescent punks that drank their way into adulthood, having never learned right from wrong, because their ignorant parents always stood by to bail them out of trouble.
My neighborhood was full of the John Boehner type punks/drunks when I was a kid. Probably seeing these bastards in action, kept me from drinking until I was an old codger of about 15. I was smoking a pack of lung busters a day by then too.
John Boehner and Mitch McConnell seem to enjoy inflicting pain and hardship on people they don't even know, because they can. I hope after the next election those two SOBs end up on the unemployment list.
Disclaimer: I liked my Absolut, but I never went to work drunk, and I usually only drank on days that end in Y.

It's all the Republicans' fault.
