OPEN SOURCE GEOINT - Syria: Soldier Filming Attack on Residential Area in University City (near Baba

Analysis of video uploaded on 17 February 2012 show soldiers of the Syrian Army firing from the University City area of Homs into Baba Amr. The video displays an infantry squad on the roof of a corner building in the University area discharging small arms fire toward the West. As the video pans down to the street below a BMP-1 and ZSU-23-4 are observed deployed in the northwest direction of Baba Amr. Near the end of the recording, the video pans backward showing where two BMP-1-2 -- the exact variant is obscured due to the resolution of the video -- and an additional ZSU-23-4 are parked.
