Rachel and Lawrence tonite...

Anyone catch the unusual crossover at the beginning of the show regarding Rachels critcism of "Politifacts" treatment of O'Donnell? Am I reading too much into it, or did Lawrence seem pissed at being "scooped" by Rachel? Isn't there commmunication between the shows writers to prevent this? Lawrence said she made him lose a half hour of his planned program.

But I do like Lawrence too. Hell, I even like Chris Matthews most of the time. Rachel is my hands down favorite though. She is brilliant, funny and one of the few reasons left to watch t.v. at all.

Is it just Lawrence O that brings this out in you, or are you having a grumpy day?

And I believe Michael Moore is on Rachel talking about Romney's "the trees are just the right height in Michigan" speech.

viewers than Lawrence, but egos are egos.

I haven't been able to watch for the past 10 days or so, but I know she's been none-too-happy with Politifact. I really thought they were THE final word, truly objective, but Rachel's shown even they screw up.

Is she intimating they MAY have an agenda?

saying she did such a good job that he couldn't do better so he will just come up with something else.

these shows usually cover the same topics so it's not really an issue for them to report on the same thing.

Each show has its own staff and likes to think they have something unique or a different angle on a story than the other shows. Call it inside competition but most of these shows only have cursory communications with one another...coordinating on big stories but not on the little tidbits.

Methinks there were people on Lawrence staff who spent all day working on the story (that involves Lawrence) and saw their angle scooped and were pissed but the way it was done made it hard for Mr. O'Donnell to fault it. I'll bet there's going to be some staff and management meetings tomorrow about what happened...

He seemed quite the opposite of angry to me. And he only claimed to have lost his Re-write segment, not half his show. And went on to say that she did it way better than he did himself.

Not a Lawrence fan maybe?
