Because Karl Rove wasn't cray enough or right wing enough, we now have Groundswell.
These people are really crazy.
They want to "take down" Karl Rove.
Rove is a has been, but they need to assert their ownership of the GOP franchise.
Do you recall, back in the early days of television, when you turned off the old Philco or Dumont and when you turned it off the picture faded to a dot in the middle of the screen that lingered. Maybe a full minute woudl elapse before the dot then went POOF.
That's kinda like today's GOP.
My only fear is that any, many, many more near right wing orphans will be looking for homes in the Democratic Party, pulling us further to the right.
Meanwhile, I hope Frank Gaffney, Allen West, and all those PNAC kooks become the public face of the GOP. They are such lovable people.
And Ginni (Mrs. Clarence) Thomas is their crowned queen.
