Some people are upset and are blaming Obamacare but is it really a bad thing? They brought it on themselves. There was no way things could keep going the way they were. Many of the people I know that work for them are hard core conservatives. I'd like to ask them just WTF did they think was gonna happen?

One question I have asked a few is just where did they think big medical insurance companies came from in the first place? Organized labor/unions forcing employers to give workers medical insurance and other benefits. Just like with fair wages, that's the last thing they wanted to do but the unions made them want to!

So a lot of these people were all for everything Republicans did for the last 30 years, thinking it was making them better off. Beating the middle class down, eliminating pensions and other benefits, sending jobs overseas and everything else. As long as they had their high paying jobs, all that only meant they could get cheaper stuff and be that much better off, right? How did they think fewer workers getting good medical at their jobs was going to help them?

Then with all the looting at the top, including by people at the top of their industry, how could they think it would last?

It wasn't until a year ago that I actually had a good experience with them. My husband had cancer 30 years ago as a young man. Those asshole insurance companies absolutely refused to pay every bill as they should, saying that the charges were "above the average in your area." As though were were going to comparison shop for fucking chemo and radiation treatments. They deserve what they get.

Oh, and by the way, there is no way they would need to lay off the actual workers. Those pigs at the top have been sucking up money like it was cocaine for decades. They need to have their pay cut by 90%.

the increase in profits by the top medical insurance providers. In a down economy, they were going crazy! Evidently forcing people to pay more while denying claims to maximize profits. It was so out of line, so far above any inflation rates, it had to be criminal.

I would gladly take a bureaucracy designed to provide medical care over one designed to deny medical care to maximize profit. I'd say it would be the most efficient and cost effective by far.
