Final Abortion Clinic in Green Bay Expected to Close This Week

GREEN BAY, Wis.- The last abortion clinic in Green Bay will reportedly be closing down this week after it's bought out by one of the biggest hospitals in Green Bay and that means abortions will no longer be performed there.

A vigil and march is being held throughout the day by pro-life advocates outside the Medical Arts Building on Webster Avenue.

According to the Associated Press, Bellin is buying out OB/GYN Associates. Protesters have been marching and praying outside the building for more than 30 years, but this may be the very last time they do so.

Jill Quinlan says she has a special reason why she is marching outside the OB/GYN Associates clinic today, her daughter.

"Twenty years ago she wouldn't have lived, she was born with spinal bifida," said Quinlan.

OB/GYN Associates performs abortions inside the Medical Arts Building, but under Bellin's rule abortions would no longer be permitted.
