A defense so weak it infects other defenses. In any argument on Guantanamo, NSA spying, the Trans-Pacific Partnership or whatever other issue you want to argue, once you break out the "you just don't like the president because he's black" defense, you've shot a hole in the credibility of any of the other defenses you've offered.

Boehner and Cantor would be falling over themselves to cooperate with her. The debt ceiling would have been resolved months ago, taxes would have been agreed upon and health reform would be proceeding apace with nary a peep of objection from the Republicans.

I remember when Bill Clinton was in office and the Republicans were so respectful and cooperative, him being a white man and all. Absolutely nobody hounded him over fake "scandals" or any such nonsense. It was truly a time of bipartisan paradise.
