(4,906 posts)trillions wasted on destruction and war. .thousands of innocents killed or injured .. for what? for friggin profit. This is a huge monster whose profit above all policy has its tentacles everywhere. Not a shred of morality or decency among them while they hide behind the flavor of the day. Its all too obvious and I fear, beyond the influence of the majority of Americans. I am dreading the next hour because they've tried to set precedents with this kangaroo court and if they do, you can say goodbye to a free press.

(27,310 posts)The judge has instructed the press pool that there will be know internet or phones allowed. That there will be no smoke breaks or bathroom breaks while court is in session. That no one will be allowed to leave after the verdict is read as long as court is still in session.
I wonder which lapdog media outfit will be the beneficiary of an "official" leak.

(18,402 posts)What a morbid and unjust term to apply to people who might have a different opinion.
My opinion differs on the tired plaint I see here all the time, which defends one crime by decrying the lack of punishment for a different, unrelated crime. It's childish--like complaining to Mom how unfair it is that you had to go to your room for using bad language when brother Bobby didn't get a punishment, and he told a lie! The "look, over there" ploy is not a good tactic to take when making a judgment on a case.

if you raise kids with hypocrisy and lack of consistency, you are not helping them to develop any sort of moral compass.

They'll be cheering if he gets 130 years. Funny how they try to have all the cake no matter how things turn out.
