msanthrope
(37,549 posts)you have lost your star, and you want others to perform searches for you?
I'm laughing so hard I can barely type because I know that my refusal to perform searches on your behalf will be taken as 'proof' that I am part of the conspiracy.

But the truth is... it was going on.
But follow those stories if you find them on LBNs I posted if they are still there.
I warned about the crash back way back then after watching billions transferred every other day
I know........ the US system of money is good and we shouldn't look at that or question it.
The PRIVATE BANKING SYSTEM works
we shall not question it.
Yes, things are wiped if you pay attention.

Greatness! I wish I had been there
For the premiere episode of VICE Canada's first original food show, we took our host Matty Matheson out to Markhama Toronto suburb known for excellent Chinese food. After an insane night out on St. Patrick's Day, our guest chef Nick Liu cooked us an amazing comfort food meal to vaporize Matty's hangover. It was awesome. Hope you enjoy.

(135,425 posts)As for your journal, it looks like much of your output is in there, so start reading.
I think your expecting others to do your homework for you is just wrong. I'm not really sure what your complaint is, either.
Perhaps you might want to step back and regroup for a bit.

(2,347 posts)Known malady. Links only stay good as long as they're maintained as content is moved to new, updated servers. Or, the site hosting the link goes bye-bye. Lotsa stuff like that. Isn't there a "Wayback machine" or something that will possibly help for this? Thought there was.

.....
As a consequence, mortgage debt as a percentage of disposable income in the U.S. is at the highest level it has been in 75 years, reaching 100 percent, while consumer debt has risen to its highest level in history. All this makes the economy more vulnerable than it has been since the 1929-39 depression. Another consequence of this binge of easy money has been the frenzy of leveraged buy-outs and industrial concentration that we have observed over the last few years.
Finally, let's put the cherry on the cake. Indeed, there is a most disturbing piece in former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan's recent memoirs (The Age of Turbulence) and in the explanations he gave in interviews granted to promote his book, and it is his confession that while he was chairman of the Fed he actively lobbied Vice President Dick Cheney for a U.S. attack on Iraq. If this was the case, it was most inappropriate for a central banker to act this way, especially when he had other things to do than lobbying in favor of an illegal war. Does it mean that Mr. Greenspan was an active member of the pro-Israel Lobby within the U.S. government and joined the Wolfowitz-Feith-Abrams-Perle-Kissinger cabal? It would seem to me that such behavior would call for an investigation.
Indeed, to what extent was the pro-Israel Lobby responsible for the Iraq war and the deficits it generated? Already, polls indicate that 40 percent of American voters believe the pro-Israel Lobby has been a key factor in going to war in Iraq and that it is now very active in promoting a new war against Iran. This figure is bound to rise as more and more people confront the facts behind this most disastrous and ill-conceived war. Indeed, how many wars can this lobby be allowed to engineer before being stopped? And, to what extent can the current financial turmoil in U.S. and world markets be traced back to the influence of this most corrosive lobby?

In a story that sheds new light on the extent of the countrys financial crisis, Bloomberg Markets magazine reported today that the Federal Reserve lent trillions of dollars to beleaguered financial institutions, with $1.2 trillion going out on just one day in 2008.
The Fed didnt tell anyone which banks were in trouble so deep they required a combined $1.2 trillion on Dec. 5, 2008, their single neediest day. Bankers didnt mention that they took tens of billions of dollars in emergency loans at the same time they were assuring investors their firms were healthy, Bloomberg reported today. And no one calculated until now that banks reaped an estimated $13 billion of income by taking advantage of the Feds below-market rates.
Bloomberg Markets said it went over 29,000 pages of Fed documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act and central bank records of more than 21,000 transactions.

(10,529 posts)I've encountered the same phenomenon in other subject areas. Inconvenient info published by governmental agencies or newspapers of record even The New York Times gets vacuumed. E.g., a critical sentence got vacuumed out of a NYT article on the 2004 election exit polling; and various items of embarrassing info got vacuumed off of government sites relating to the Katrina disaster.
I.m.h.o., we should all make a practice of copying and preserving critical info in NON-Cloud-based locations, together with the original URL and date where/when it was found. (The Internet Archive preserves only a very tiny fraction of what's out there.)

(55,745 posts)Another one I really liked:
Vice President Bushs Inside Track to Power
Note how even the Wayback Machine can't get to that one. Another that I'd like to share, but is nowhere to be found:
Information is Better than Gold
Another good example from Winterboy:
One Bush becomes a head of the WWI War Industries Board (enriching his family and friends); a second Bush later brokers weapons investments for Nazi Germany (enriching his family and friends); and a third Bush creates the largest annual defense budget in world history (enriching his family and friends)!
SOURCE still available via Way Bac: http://web.archive.org/web/20040315023134/http://www.winterboy.com/dejavu.html
PS: Those interested in preserving history before it is scrubbed and sent down the memory hole by the good folks at your local data collection center should download their own copy of the 520 page e-book above.
PPS: Many of the original articles and sites from then are no longer around. I'm not saying links don't expire, web sites never go kaput, or articles don't get re-filed; but I do notice some things are getting harder and harder to find and some subjects seem to be getting scrubbed.

(4,906 posts)a few years ago, dec, January 2010 or 2011 (cant remember right this sec), when the birds were falling out of the sky and hundreds of tons of fish washing up on shores around the world, and herds of animals started dropping dead..etc etc etc. One person put up the most amazing interactive map with links to the news source where the event was occurring. It was the most accurate and up do date map on the web with legitimate news source, exact location, and number of animals, fish, birds dying ..hundreds, thousands, tons. He then put together all of the known events for the last century on a different map. .. which had happened but not like this, ever before, although any us news coverage always said, well this has happened all the time before. Really? I have been alive for a long time and I had never heard of it before ..or at least not in these numbers, around the world, and this diverse. It was a big deal and this website was incredibly detailed and swiftly created. .and legitimate. Lots of interesting comments worldwide about the particular event. Keep in mind, this all happened in a very short time frame..just a few months from mid to late December and into February.. guess what? it just vanished.. no record of it anywhere. Lots of people like me were monitoring that site and for a few months afterwards, you could find people googling and asking where it went..hocus pocus..gone, forever... as if it never happened. But it did..and it was a huge deal. You might find a few mentions of that time when I believe some weird experiments were going on. I don't really know about that part, but something unnatural occurred. I just don't know what.
