but last week a few were taken over to Dane County Jail. About a dozen of us went to bail them out, and spent almost three hours waiting for them. So, what were we to do but sing? We were merrily singing along, and Sheriff Dave Mahoney walked through. He's the one who refused to let the Dane County Cops be used by Walker as "Palace Guards" during the Capitol Occupation. So Dave gave us a big smile, and said, "You can sing here."

And who should show up to join in yesterday's sing along? Sheriff Dave Mahoney!

I have to say, to Californians, who have been donating generously to help our activists in this fight. #1 state for donors, after Wisconsin, of course.

Edited to say that it then occurred to me that Lib in LA might be in Louisiana, which is also a great state!

Virtually all are requesting jury trials. There is a $36 fee for a jury trial. That is a big burden for some, particularly at a time when they're already facing so much stress.

So far, the First Amendment Protection Fund has been able to cover the jury fees for all of the citizens (we had about 150 citations issued prior to this latest crackdown), but the pace is increasing on these citations. There will be over 100 in less than a week, so that starts to add up to some real money!

My friend Callen has been involved in the sing-alongs since the beginning and I think it's time for me to join in and do my part. What an inspiring group of people!
